Summer Seek
An Invitation to Seek God Together This Summer

Hey church!
Welcome to Summer!
As we shared this morning, this summer, we are inviting our whole church into a shared rhythm of prayer called Summer Seek.
Summer is a gift. For many of us, it brings a different pace, time outside, vacations, family gatherings, and a change from the usual routines. But because our rhythms change, summer can also become a season where we unintentionally drift from God. Not because we planned to, but because the normal patterns that help us stay rooted begin to loosen.
So this summer, instead of drifting from God, we want to intentionally seek Him together.
James 4:8 says,
“Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.”
That is the heart behind Summer Seek. We want to make space as a church family to draw near to God, to seek Him in prayer, and to trust that He will meet us as we do.
There are three simple ways we are inviting you to participate.
Pray through the Psalms in 60 days, starting July 1

Pray through the Psalms in 60 days, starting July 1
The Psalms have been the prayer book of God’s people for generations. They teach us how to pray with honesty, worship, trust, repentance, lament, hope, and joy.
Beginning July 1, we are inviting everyone to pray daily through the Psalms over 60 days. Each day includes a morning and evening reading, giving us a simple rhythm to begin and end the day seeking God.
You can find the full reading plan here (or below in this email):
Printed 5x7 cards with the reading plan will also be available next Sunday at church. You can keep a card in your Bible, put it on your fridge, or take it with you wherever you go this summer.
As you read, we encourage you to use the simple rhythm of P.R.A.Y.
P — Pause & Praise
Take a moment to be still and turn your attention to God.
R — Reflect
Read the Psalm slowly and notice what stands out.
A — Ask
Bring your prayers, needs, questions, and concerns to God.
Y — Yield
Surrender yourself again to God and ask Him to lead you.
This is not about checking a box or keeping up perfectly. It is about creating space to seek God. If you miss a day, start again. If you start late, join in. The invitation is simple: draw near to God.

Continue leaning into the Prayer Room
Over the last number of months, the Prayer Room has become an important space in the life of our church. We want to continue leaning into that this summer.
The Prayer Room is a space set apart to seek God personally, with your family, or with others. We encourage you to make use of this space through the summer.
Each week, we will continue gathering in the Prayer Room at these times:
Tuesday mornings, 6:30–7:30 am
Wednesday evenings, 7:30–8:30 pm
Sunday mornings, 10:00 am before the service
Our prayer gatherings are simple. We usually begin with about 20 minutes of worship, then reflect on a Psalm and pray it together. These are not polished or complicated gatherings. They are spaces to slow down, turn our attention to God, and seek Him together.
Whether prayer feels natural to you or you are still learning how to pray, you are welcome.

Gather Summer Seek Prayer Nights
We will also gather for two Summer Seek Prayer Nights this summer.
These nights will be simple evenings of worship, Scripture, guided prayer, and space to seek God together as a church family. Whether prayer feels very natural to you or you are still learning how to pray, these nights are for you.
More details and dates will be shared soon, but we hope you will make plans to join us.
Church, our desire is not simply to fill the summer with more activity. Our desire is to become a people who seek God.
So this summer, let’s not drift.
Let’s seek God together.
Talk soon,
Caleb
