Here are some of the things happening in our community this week.

What’s Coming Up
Free Community Skate- March 10th
Over March Break, we are hosting a free skate at the KMCC Apple Dome. The skate will take place Monday, March 10th, from 12:30-2:00 pm.
We hope this will be a fun time of connecting with one another, getting some physical activity and making connections with people in our community. I would encourage you to plan to come skate if you are able at this time and invite anyone you think may be interested!
We will have some hot chocolate to warm you up as well!
Prayer Q&R- New Sermon Series
I am really excited about a new sermon series that we will begin on March 9th. The series is called Prayer Q&R (Question and Response), and we will dive into key questions about prayer each week. The sermons in this series will look a bit different and more interactive, I will share more on that later!
This series aligns with the season of Lent in the church year, which leads us into Easter. This is traditionally a time dedicated to prayer and fasting so we want to lean into prayer together in this season of Lent.
As we head into this series, I wonder: What questions do you have about prayer? Reply to the email with any questions you have about prayer, it would be awesome to have this series shaped by questions you are actually asking.
Drive-Thru Lunch
This Friday, February 28th from 12:00-1:30 there will be a drive-thru chili lunch hosted at the church building. I would encourage you to stop by and grab your lunch there if you are able on Friday. The meal will consist of a bowl of chili, a roll and homemade cookies for $12.00.

What We Are Celebrating
Encouraging Stories of God Moving
This last week, I have been deeply encouraged and in awe of some of the stories I have heard of the ways God is working in the lives of people in our community. I won’t share any specifics, but stories like people leaning into prayer in new ways, trusting God for provision and people who have been prayed for over the long haul coming to church.
Creative Ministry Ideas
Another thing to celebrate this week is several conversations I have had with folks who have had creative ideas for ministry laid on their hearts. There is a real hope of the possibility of what will come as God moves among us. It’s so wonderful seeing people thinking through how they could partner with Jesus to accomplish his mission here in this place.

One Prayer This Week
Pray this week for any people, places or situations that came to mind during the service Sunday as we reflected on how Jesus could show up being led by love, entering with empathy and demonstrating power personally, communally, and through us.
(If this is new to you, I would encourage you to check out the sermon from this week. This reflection exercise was near the end of the sermon and you can find it here. )
Talk soon,
Pastor Caleb
Berwick Baptist Church
P.S. If you have any questions about prayer as we enter into a series called Prayer Q&R reply to this email and share them with me.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
