Here are some of the things happening in our community this week.

What’s Coming Up
Membership Course
Coming up on Sunday, March 23rd, we are hosting a Membership Course. It will take place from 3:30 to about 5:00, and then we will share supper together. At its core, church membership is a way to make a commitment to a group of people to be the church together. This course is an exploratory time to learn about our church, learn about membership— what it means and why become a member.
We hope to see you there!
Church Family Meeting
On Sunday, March 16th, at 7 pm, we are going to gather for a church family meeting. This is a time when we come together in an informal setting to discuss things as a family.
We hope to discuss the leadership structure of our church and the constitution. This is in line with the prioritiy of assessment of structure and polity we have established as we seek to bring renewal to our church. It should be a great conversation and I am excited about the possibilities it may bring.
Drive-Thru Lunch
On Friday, February 28th, from 12-1:30, Pat Jodrie is organizing a drive-thru chili lunch. The meal will consist of a bowl of chili, a roll and homemade cookies for $12. Stop by and grab lunch on February 28th!
If you would like to help out with this lunch, get in touch with Pat (reply to the email for contact info!).

What We Are Celebrating
Family Glow Fest- Light the Nights
We had such a fantastic time over at the Town Hall Gym on Saturday morning for Family Glow Fest. This was an event we hosted as part of the Town of Berwick’s Light the Nights event. We connected with many families, and much joy was spread. It was so fantastic to watch the pure joy on kids’ faces as they came into the gym and to see the mingling happening between parents as the kids bounced.
My favourite part of the whole morning was seeing the folks from our church show up either as volunteers or bringing their families. It was a beautiful representation of our church with an intergenerational volunteer team that showed up excited to be there and ready to connect with the community. Thanks to each person who came out to the event!

First Ever Meal Train!
This past week, we started our first meal train with the arrival of Niall and Jamie’s new baby boy Fionn. Congratulations to the Carolan family! With this arrival, we launched our first meal train where people from our church have the opportunity to drop supper off to a family in times when making dinner can be tricky like the birth of a child, a loss, a surgery and others.
I was blown away to hear that we had every slot filled for this mealtrain within 24 hours of it being sent out! Thank you so much for the generosity shown in caring for one another through this meal train.

One Prayer This Week
In line with the message from this week that when Jesus leads, we can trust him to provide. Pray this week for Jesus to lead our church.
Talk soon,
Pastor Caleb
Berwick Baptist Church
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
