Berwick Baptist Weekly | Sep 14-20

Here are some of the things happening in our community this week.

What’s Coming Up

Every Home Prayed For

This past Sunday, we officially launched our new initiative: Every Home Prayed For.
This fall, our church family is committing to pray for every home in Berwick and beyond, believing this will be like tilling the soil of our town for what God wants to grow.

It starts simply: by praying for your neighbours, the people who live right around you.

Here’s how you can join in:

  • Pray for the homes of your neighbours

  • Pick up door hangers from the church, pray for your neighbours, and then leave a hanger at their house.

  • Track it! Please let us know when you’ve prayed for a home by filling out the form below, so it can be added to our tracking map. Then, on Sunday, put a yellow dot on our poster for each home you’ve covered in prayer.

Together, let’s ask God to move in every street, every family, and every home.

Financial Need- Mentored Ministry Student

This Sunday, we will share details about the opportunity to welcome a Mentored Ministry Student to serve with us this fall at our business meeting. This student from ADC would join us for 10 hours a week, gaining hands-on ministry experience while also blessing our church family with their gifts and energy.

As our pastors and deacons have prayerfully considered this opportunity, we’re excited to move forward. The remaining barrier is the financial cost of fair compensation, which wasn’t included in our 2025 budget. To cover this placement, we need to raise about $2,500.

To make this possible, we’re inviting you to give towards his compensation. Your generosity will not only help cover this cost but will also invest in the growth of a future ministry leader.

If you’re able to contribute or have any questions, please reply to this email or contact Caleb.

Food Pantry: Sept 14-27

It’s our turn to help stock the Food Pantry! From September 14–27, we’ll be making sure shelves are filled and families are cared for in our community.

If you’d like to contribute, you can drop items off either at the church or directly at the pantry.

Most-needed items:

  • Cereal

  • Peanut butter

  • Canned vegetables and fruit

  • Pasta

  • Canned meats

Please, no jars or expired food.

Thank you for helping us bless our neighbours in this practical way.

Church Business Meeting this Sunday

Following the service this Sunday, we’ll be holding a short Church Business Meeting. The main item on the agenda will be discussing and affirming several people who desire membership at Berwick Baptist.

We encourage all members to stay as we celebrate and discern together what God is doing in our church family.

What We Are Celebrating

Lighting and Electrical

Work has officially begun and will continue on the lighting and electrical upgrades in our building. You may have already noticed some of the changes! We’re thankful to see this project underway and are excited for how it will bless our gatherings and ministries in the days ahead.

Membership Course

This past Sunday, four people took part in our Membership Course! We’re excited to see how God is drawing people deeper into the life of our church family.

One Prayer This Week

Pray for the initiative we kicked off this week: Every Home Prayer For. Pray that God will use our prayers to till the soil of Berwick and beyond.
