Here are some of the things happening in our community this week.

What’s Coming Up
Every Home Prayed For – Praying for Berwick Together #2
Remember, this Fall, we are getting ready! This coming Saturday, we are hitting the streets once again to pray for our town as we seek to pray for every home in Berwick. Just as we did last time, we will gather at Carol’s Place (the brown building with green metal roof just behind the tennis courts on Cottage Street) at 10am. I think all of us who participated last time would agree that it was a good time together—a great thing to do with the whole family! Last time, we were able to pray for 166 homes! Let’s see what we can do this time around—together!
Check out the live prayer map below, and don’t forget to register the homes you have prayed for.
Church Business Meeting – 16 Nov. 25 Directly Following Service
This coming Sunday, directly following the service, we will be having a church business meeting. Our one item that we will be voting on is the proposed changes to the constitution. The proposed changes are regarding the constitution only, not any church policies. These changes, if successful, would move us to an Elder-Led Congregational form of church governance. As I shared last time, if the changes go through, we will be doing a review after one year (at our Annual General Meeting in January of 2027). Please make an effort to attend this important meeting, and please feel free to reach out to the Pastors and Deacons if you have any questions. As we do at each meeting, there will be time for discussion prior to the vote.
See below our current constitution, the proposed constitution, and a one page visual summary of the proposed changes.
Important Notice: No Entry to our Building this Friday and Saturday
Our renovation continues to move forward! We are delighted to have heat in the building once again—however, the project is not yet complete. An important part of this project is properly insulting the building. Once again, we are asking that you not enter the building this coming Friday and Saturday (14–15 Nov. 25). More of our building is being spray foamed, which requires us to be out of the building for a certain period of time. Thank you for your understanding.

What We Are Celebrating
PrayNS Valley Night of Prayer
We were simply delighted by the Valley Night of Prayer that we hosted in our building on Sunday night. People from across the Valley and beyond showed up, and it was good! We guess that there was probably 150 plus in attendance. Praise God! God is at work, and the Valley showed up to ask him for more of the same. May it be so in our time!
Check out this photo of the congregation extending hands toward the group of youth who powerfully led a portion of the service in prayer!

Every Home Prayed For
We were thrilled to hear about two people in our congregation taking a few folks from the Manor to drive around town and pray for homes in our community! What an awesome way to help fulfill our Fall Vision of praying for every home in Berwick! This group of ladies prayed for 54 homes! Praise God!

One Prayer This Week
Pray for the family of the late Paul Ward. Paul, well-known for many years as a part of this church, passed away on 5 Nov. 25 at the age of 91. Paul will be remembered by many of us for always being ready to share a good joke! His service will be held at the Berwick and District Lion’s Hall on Friday, 14 Nov., at 1pm.
Talk soon,
Evan

P.S. Alpha session #4 will be happening this Sunday (16 Nov. 25) at 5pm. See you there!
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
