Berwick Baptist Weekly | Nov. 16 – 22

Here are some of the things happening in our community this week.

What’s Coming Up

Motion Carried – Our New Constitution

After our Sunday morning worship service, we had a church business meeting regarding our constitution. At this meeting, the congregation approved an amended version of the proposed constitution. The item that was modified was regarding the voting status of the paid pastors. It was decided that paid pastors will be non-voting members of the Elders Board. This new constitution will take effect at the opening of our AGM in January 2026. Thank you to everyone who came out to vote. Please pray that this constitution will serve as well as we seek to be used by God as he builds his Kingdom here in Berwick and beyond!

Christmas Parade – Float and Hot Chocolate – 22 Nov. 25

For the last several years, it has been our practice to give out free hot chocolate at the Berwick Christmas Parade. We have also decided to enter a simple float into the parade as well. And believe it or not, the parade is this coming Saturday (22 Nov.)!!! To pull this off, we need your help. If you are able to help with the parade float, please let us know by contacting Andrew ([email protected]). Our plan is to hand out invites to our Christmas Eve service with a candy cane. For the hot chocolate, we will gather at the church around 4pm to prepare the hot chocolate. We will then proceed to our locations on Commercial Street by the Foodland and by North Mountain to hand it out. This is one way that we are present in our community during this special time of year! Join us!

WWS Auxiliary Bake Sale – 29 Nov. from 9am–Noon

The WWS Auxiliary will be hosting their bake sale from 9am–noon on Saturday, Nov. 29th. Besides the many delicious baked goods, there will be tables of gently used items for sale—Christmas trimmings, puzzles, books, odds and ends. The proceeds go to support the work of the Auxiliary. Please come out to support their work and go home with some tasty treats!

What We Are Celebrating

Every Home Prayed For

We are celebrating the fact that more homes were prayed for this past Saturday! A few of us hit the sidewalks again to pray for our community. Thank you to all those who joined us to pray—together!

If you have prayed for some homes, please don’t forgot to let us know at the link below. Also, check out our live prayer map to see all the homes that have been prayed for so far!

One Prayer This Week

Pray for our involvement in the Berwick Christmas Parade. Pray that God would use our small efforts in a mighty way. Pray that our presence at the parade will be one step in someone’s faith journey toward Christ!
