Berwick Baptist Weekly | May 3–9
Here are some of the things happening in our community this week.

What’s Coming Up
Prayer Room – Wednesday (6 May) in the Sanctuary @7:30pm
Jesus teaches his followers to be persistent in prayer (Luke 18:1–8). One way that we seek to do this as a church is by gathering in the Prayer Room three times each week: Tuesday(6:30am), Wednesday(7:30pm), and Sunday(10am). Each of these gatherings involves music, scripture, and prayer. We normally gather in the church Parlour; however, this Wednesday, May 6th, we will gather in the Sanctuary. We would love to see you there!
Service Opportunity – Tech Team
We are so appreciative of all the many volunteer who serve in the life of our congregation. It is literally true that what we do would not happen without all of your help and effort! Well, we have a new opportunity for service: The Tech Team. The audio and visual work that happens each week is a really important piece of our Sunday morning worship experience. We are seeking to build a team of skilled audio/visual personnel to help facilitate worship. If you like working behind the scenes, and have or are willing to acquire technological skills—all with the goal of creating an engaging worship experience, this is the role for you. Check out the job description below. If you are interested, please reach our to one of the Pastor Caleb.
New Member’s Class – 14 June 5–7pm
If you are interested in becoming a member of the Berwick Baptist Church, this is the class for you! Membership can rightly be thought of as Covenant Partnership. It is an individual’s formal commitment to a group of people (the church is the people, remember) and a group of people making a formal commitment to an individual. If you call Berwick Baptist Church your home church, I would encourage you to think about becoming a member. The first step in becoming a member is to come to our New Member’s Class. We will be offering this class on 14 June from 5–7pm. We will start with pizza and conversation, and then we will lead a presentation about Berwick Baptist and what it means to become and be a member! We would love to have you join us!

What We Are Celebrating
The Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada
Sunday, May 4th, was CBAC Sunday. The Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada (CBAC) is our regional Baptist family. We took a couple moments during our Sunday gathering to hear of the good work that the CBAC is up to in the Atlantic Provinces. If you missed the videos that we showed on Sunday, you can watch them—and several other videos—at the link below. Take a moment to pray for the CBAC. Pray that God would use this family of churches to spread the Gospel and to bless our region. Let us all commit to being a people of Hope right here in Berwick!

One Prayer This Week
Pray for our partners in Global missions, Darrell and Laura Lee Bustin. They are missionaries in Africa with Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM), and we have been supporting them for several years. As we also heard on Sunday, CBM is our national Baptist family. Pray that God would work through CBM to bring the Good News of the Gospel to many people all over the world!
