Berwick Baptist Weekly | May 25-31

Here are some of the things happening in our community this week.

What’s Coming Up

Block Party

On June 27th, we will host our annual Block Party. This fun community event, hosted on our church property, is meant to kick off summer with a bang. There will be lots of fun activities for families and kids and time to connect with the people in our community.

We would encourage you to block this evening off in your calendars now to make sure you can be a part of the party! There will be lots of way to be involved through volunteering at the event, leading up to it or simply by attending and being present!

Induction Service of Evan & Caleb

On June 22nd at 4pm, we will be hosting an induction service to officially commission Evan and I (Caleb) into ministry here at Berwick Baptist as we begin full-time work this month.

We would love to see you all there to take part in this worshipful moment in the life of the church.

New Website & Podcast: berwickbaptist.ca

We have officially launched our new website! You may remember that back in January, we were joined by a photographer to take photos for our website. That site has now launched!

We believe this will be a great first impression for people who visit our church for the first time.

Also included with this is a podcast feed of the sermons from each week. So, if you ever miss a week or want to listen to a message again and are a podcast listener, check out our podcast!

What We Are Celebrating

Keera’s Mission Trip

We are celebrating Keera’s safe return from her mission trip to Guatemala and thanking God for the transformational experience and ministry this trip provided. If you missed it, go back and listen to Keera give an update about her trip during Sunday’s worship service.

Thanks again to those who supported Keera along the way!

Integenerational Church Family

This past week, as part of the loan application for the heating renovation, we looked at several key aspects of our church. One of those areas was the age demographic makeup. We were deeply encouraged to see the intergenerational nature of our church, with about one third of the church being 25 and under, another third being 25-65, and a final third being 65 and above.

This is reason to celebrate as we believe a healthy church reaches a diverse age demographic!

One Prayer This Week

Pray for those who will receive the food we have placed in the food pantry this week. Pray that they would continue to be fed and that this ministry would practically serve people in a time of need.

Talk soon,

Caleb

P.S. Mark your calendars for the Block Party on June 27th. We hope this will be a considerable team effort as we join the mission by attending or volunteering.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
