Berwick Baptist Weekly | May 24–30

Here are some of the things happening in our community this week.

What’s Coming Up

New Member’s Class – 14 June from 5–7pm

Here is another quick reminder: will be be hosting our new member’s class on 14 June. We will begin with a meal together at 5pm, followed by an overview of membership at Berwick Baptist. If you are thinking about membership, or just curious, we would love to see you there!

Save the Date: Berwick Baptist Block Party – 27 June from 3–6pm

We are excited to announce the date for our annual Block Party: 27 June from 3–6pm. We have decided to try a Saturday this year, and we want to encourage you to save the date and plan to be there. We have been hosting a block party for several years now. It all started from a simple desire to get to know our neighbours so that we can better love our neighbours, as Jesus tells us to do. So, we hope you will see it as exactly that: a time to gather together to have fun and get to know the people in our town so that we can shine the light of Jesus!

No Glow on 1 June 2026

Glow is our afterschool kids program that happens each Monday. I will be away this coming week for a few days, so we will not be having Glow on 1 June. We will pick it back up on 8 June the following week. For those involved, please spread the word.

What We Are Celebrating

OneCon Registrations

We are celebrating the fact that we received 9 registrations from our Youth Group for OneCon—an perhaps some more will come in yet! OneCon is an annual youth gathering that takes place each year in Moncton, NB. This year it is happening on 5–6 June. Pray that God would speak in a mighty way to the several thousand youth in attendance—and pray that God would speak to the youth that we will be taking from right here in Berwick! For more on OneCon, check out the link below.

AKA Prayer Gathering

Caleb and I had the privilege to attend a recent leaders gathering of the Atlantic Kingdom Alliance (AKA). This is “an interdenominational coalition of churches advancing the mission of Jesus across Atlantic Canada.” We had a delightful time praying with brothers and sisters in Christ from several denominations all across Atlantic Canada for God to move in our region! Pray that this group would be successful, and pray that God would move in Atlantic Canada! Check out the link below for more about AKA.

One Prayer This Week

Begin praying for the Block Party. Start thinking and praying about someone you can invite. Perhaps pray that while you are at the Block Party that you would make a significant connection that will help someone toward Jesus.

Talk soon,
