Food Pantry

This week and next, it’s our turn to stock the food pantry! We are very low on food to stock the pantry with this round. We are in particular need of pasta/ pasta sauce, cereal and canned meats. If you are able to pick up some of these and drop them off, please do so. Items can be brought to the church on Sunday or dropped off throughout the week.

This is a growing initiative of the four local churches in Berwick. Recently, a second pantry has been added near the school. The food that is stocked daily is consistently gone the next day.

If you are in need of a bit of extra food, check out the food pantry! If you have a bit extra consider supporting the food pantry.

Parenting Seminar

This Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:30, we are hosting a Parenting Seminar at the church! The session will be led by Kathleen Murphy, a clinical social worker (RSW, MSW) and will look at various parenting methods, including those based on biblical principles.

If you are caring for children, we would encourage you to make it a priority to attend this session. If you know those who are parenting, please invite them to the seminar!

Fellowship Table

It has been such a joy to see and participate in the relational time of connection that happens each week following our worship gathering over hot drinks and treats. With more people sticking around for this time each week we are going through more food! This is great!

Even better, more food has been showing up thanks to generous people who have been dropping food off.

However, we want to renew the effort to make this an organized event! So, Erica will be crafting a new schedule for the fellowship table. If you have been bringing food but arent on the list please let us know so we can add you! Or, if you arent on the list but would be interesting in serving in this way please let me know!

What We Are Celebrating

Membership Course!

This past Sunday, we had three people go through the membership course, followed by supper together after the session. This was such a fantastic time of getting to know one another, and we were so encouraged by the tremendous questions that were asked about what it means to be a church.

Each time we run this course, we are amazed by the people that God is drawing to Berwick Baptist for partnership in the gospel. God is up to something!

Caleb’s Graduation

Much of the last week for me (Caleb) has been consumed by graduation celebrations. I had the privilege of receiving my Master of Divinity degree (MDiv) this past week. A highlight for me was the annual Commissioning Service put on by the Divinity College. This is a worship service where they commission graduating students to the ministry field. Big thanks to Andrew and Evan, who made the trip up to Wolfville to support me!

Thank you for the ways you have supported me while I wrapped up this degree over the last few months, particularly for your prayers!
