Here are some of the things happening in our community this week.

What’s Coming Up
Wednesday Prayer Room – Cancelled
Evan and Caleb have been invited to join Joshua for his commissioning supper and service to mark the conclusion of his studies at Acadia Divinity College. This is happening on Wednesday evening, so there will be no Prayer Room this week (13 May). Our next prayer gathering will be our Pre-Service Prayer Room, on Sunday at 10am. See you there!
WWS Auxiliary Plant and Bake Sale – 16 May from 8–11am
The Weston, Welsford, and Somerset Auxiliary is a group of ladies within our congregation that has existed for many years. This group provides support and care for one another and they also do much for our church and our community, like supporting kids to go to Kingswood Camp. Each year, the WWS Auxiliary hosts a plant and bake sale to help support their good work. The event will take place this Saturday (16 May) from 8am–11am. I (Evan) always love getting my fill of delicious baked goods at this event—and I think you would as well! Come on out and show your support!
Welcome Team
We all love to receive a warm welcome, right!?! We are looking to build a team of passionate and enthusiastic individuals to provide a warm welcome to everyone who enters ours worship space on Sunday mornings. If this is something that interests you, check out the volunteer job description below and reach out to one of the Pastors.

What We Are Celebrating
Mothers
Sunday was Mother’s Day, so we took time in our service to acknowledge mothers, to celebrate them, and to pray for them. In case you missed the service, we celebrate you today! May God richly bless all of the mothers in our congregation. Perhaps take a moment to pray for the mothers that you know.
Volunteers
Volunteers are a vital part of the life of our congregation. I was thrilled this past week to have two people step forward to volunteer in our Kids Ministry—praise God! To all of our volunteers, we say THANK YOU! We celebrate you and thank God for you!

One Prayer This Week
Pray for those in our church who have recently lost loved ones. Pray as well for those who are facing difficult times. Pray that God would comfort them with his strength and with his peace.
Talk soon,
Evan
Berwick Baptist Church
P.S. There will be a Country and Gospel Concert this Sunday (17 May) at the Burlington Baptist Church at 3pm. Our own Janie Rhodenizer has planned the event. All are welcome to attend!
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
