Berwick Baptist Weekly | June 1-7

Here are some of the things happening in our community this week.

What’s Coming Up

Parenting Seminar

We were so disappointed to have to postpone the parenting seminar a few weeks ago. However, we are thrilled to be hosting the workshop this coming Saturday, June 7th, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Annex. Childcare will be provided, and we strongly encourage anyone who invests in the lives of young people through parenting to prioritize attending this session. We believe this will be a valuable time as we seek to be the best parents we can be.

Food Pantry Grand Opening

Come on out to the Grand Opening of the second Food Pantry at the Berwick School on Friday, June 6th from 4:00-6:00. There will be live music, hot dogs and popcorn. All food and monetary donations are welcome to help support the pantry. Please come out and join the fun!

Caleb Begins Full-time Ministry

With June arriving, I (Caleb) have officially begun full-time work here at Berwick Baptist. I am thrilled to be able to fully dive into what God is doing in and through our church with this increase in hours, following a difficult four months of splitting my focus in so many directions. We are hopeful and expectant for what God will do in this season of the life of Berwick Baptist and are looking forward to Evan beginning full-time ministry here once again in just a few weeks.

One of my priorities as I step into full-time ministry is to develop deeper relationships with many of you over the next few months, so that we can get to know each other better. I will begin reaching out to get together, but if you’re keen to spend time together, feel free to respond here to let me know.

What We Are Celebrating

One Conference

This past weekend, we had the privilege of sending 19 people to One Conference in Moncton, which was made up of 15 youth and four leaders. One Conference is an annual interdenominational gathering for youth seeking to align the youth of Atlantic Canada with the heart of God. It was an incredible weekend; a highlight for me was watching nearly 4,000 people join together to passionately worship Jesus. We are celebrating the deepening relationships formed between the youth and leaders who went, the steps of faith taken by students and trusting that God was working in their hearts to bring them closer to him.

Signs of God Moving

In the sermon this past week, I shared about the ways that God is moving in new and increasing ways across Atlantic Canada. Today, we are celebrating another example of this as we received a submission through our new website from someone planning to return to church and asking a few fantastic questions about Jesus and the church. It is so encouraging to witness the fruit of God calling people to Himself.

One Prayer This Week

Pray this week for the 15 students that we sent to One Conference this past weekend. Pray that the seeds of faith that were planted in them would continue to grow and that they would continue to grow closer to Jesus.

Talk soon,

Caleb
