Berwick Baptist Weekly | January 4–10

Here are some of the things happening in our community this week.

What’s Coming Up

Alpha – 11 January 2026 @5pm

For all those involved in Alpha, make your calendars: our first session back is this Sunday (11 Jan.) @5pm! We were glad to be able to complete 7 sessions before Christmas, and we are looking forward to getting back at it in 2026!

Berwick Food Pantry – 4–17 January 2026

It is once again our turn to stock the Berwick Food Pantry. If you would like to make a donation of non-perishable food items, please bring them to the church. One item that we currently need more of is pasta. You can also make a monetary donation toward the Food Pantry, just be sure to mark it as such. You can e-transfer at [email protected] Lastly, I also want to remind you of the fundraiser that is coming up for the Berwick Food Pantry on 17 January @7pm at the Apple Dome. You could go and enjoy a Wildcats game and support this local cause. If you would like to bake cookies for this fundraiser, please touch base with Jen Best at [email protected]

Annual Business Meeting (24 Jan. @12noon) and Survey

Our Annual Business Meeting is coming right up. We will be meeting on Saturday, the 24th of January. We will start with a potluck lunch at 12noon, with the business meeting to follow at 1pm. For all those responsible for a report, please have them to Rhonda by this Sunday (11 Jan.). You can email them to her at [email protected] The booklets will be available on 18 Jan. As we prepare our booklets, we would love to hear from you about how you have seen God at work in your life and in our church over this last year. You can share your thoughts with us at the link below. Our business meeting if an important event in the life of our church, so please make it in your calendars and make a point to be present.

What We Are Celebrating

Christmas Eve Service 2025

All the way back to the summer, as we were brainstorming the Fall, we wrote this dream on a whiteboard: that our Christmas Eve service would be standing room only. As you can see from the picture below, we are celebrating a packed house on Christmas Eve 2025! There were approximately 220 people present. More importantly, each one heard the Good News of the Gospel and what Christmas is truly all about. Praise God!

Christmas Eve 2025

One Prayer This Week

Pray for our new sermon series that we are staring this Sunday on the book of Acts. Pray that God would use this series to grow his people as we launch into 2026!

Talk soon,

Evan

P.S. We really want you to respond to our question about how you have seen God at work in your life during the past year. Click the link above to tell us your story!

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
