Here are some of the things happening in our community this week.

What’s Coming Up
21-Days of Prayer
Next Wednesday is Ash Wednesday (18 Feb. 26). This day marks the beginning of the season of Lent, the traditional season of preparation in the Church Calendar for Christians to prepare themselves for Easter. It is a time of Prayer, Fasting, and Giving. We will be devoting 21 days of this season as an intentional time of prayer for Berwick Baptist Church. We will be sending out further details soon. For now, I want to encourage you to make a commitment now to be fully involved in this time of prayer.
Morristown Baptist Church Pancake Supper – 17 Feb. @4:30
A practice that developed in the Christian world was to eat pancakes on the day below Lent begins—this became known as Shrove Tuesday. Our friends at Morristown Baptist Church will be hosting a pancake supper on 17 February from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. All the proceeds will be going to support Kingswood Camp. We encourage you to head on up to Morristown and enjoy some pancakes and support a great cause!
Church Clean-Up Day – 7 March 2026
Last night, at our first meeting of the Trustee’s Committee since our Annual Business Meeting, we decided to host of church clean-up day for the interior of the building. As you all know, there has been a lot of work that has gone on in this building over the last several months. This has made it necessary to devote a day to giving our space a good clean from one end to the other. We will have a sign-up sheet out this Sunday. And we would also like to sincerely bribe you to come by promising a pizza party at the end of our time together!

What We Are Celebrating
Welcoming New Members
It was a delight to welcome three new members into the Berwick Baptist Church on Sunday. We welcomed Kenny and Esther Hatt and Janie Rhodenizer. Please make them feel welcome to the family and please pray for them!

Building Permit “Closed and Completed”!
Last week I received an exciting email that the building inspector had been in and that our building permit for our renovations is now “closed and completed”! While there is still some touch-up work to be completed, all the major items of the renovation are now complete. Praise God!

One Prayer This Week
Pray for our first Elders Meeting this Friday at 10am. Please add the Elders and Deacons to your regular rhythm of prayer. Pray for wisdom to lead well during such a time as this.
Talk soon,
Evan
