Here are some of the things happening in our community this week.

What’s Coming Up
Week of Prayer: April 6-12
Coming out of our series, Prayer Q&R, we will launch into a week-long prayer initiative where we intentionally set aside time to pray as a church. We are really looking forward to this! It can be tough to get started in a rhythm of prayer, so we hope that doing this communally this week will help us enter together.
There will be various opportunities to engage in communal and individual prayer during the week. We will also be praying into a few specific areas together as a church seeking God’s direction.
We think it will be a great week where we expect God to move in our church. We would encourage you to put this week in your calendars!
Membership Course this Sunday!
Coming up this Sunday, March 23rd is a Membership Course. The course will run from 3:30 in the afternoon until about 5:00 pm when we will break to eat supper together. The hope for this session is that you will learn more about membership, why we practice it, our church, and what is coming up in the future. It is an exploratory time which we hope will set you up well to pursue membership.
This is also open to anyone who is a current member but has not been through the course.
Childcare will be available! If you plan to attend but haven’t yet let us know, please respond to this email to let us know.
Update: Church Family Meeting
We had a great family meeting yesterday as we gathered to discuss proposed changes to the Constitution around the leadership structure of the church. We had a great discussion about why changes are being proposed, what changes are being proposed and then a solid look at potential strengths and tensions with this proposed model.
The pastors and deacons will now continue to work on a draft revised constitution based on the feedback from the family meeting yesterday. We will then plan to gather again for another Church Family Meeting to discuss this further together.
These church family meetings are so important as we want to lean into congregational discernment, where we discern the will of Jesus together.
If you were unable to be there yesterday or want to review what we discussed you can find the slides from the presentation by clicking the button below.
Please reach out to the pastors or deacons with any questions or thoughts you have as we continue to prayerfully consider these changes together.

What We Are Celebrating
Engagement in Sermon Discussion Breaks
We love the engagement in the discussion times that have been taking place during the sermons each week. We have heard from several people that it is wonderful to hear others’ thoughts and process these big questions on prayer together. Thank you for leaning into the communal nature of our gatherings!
If you haven’t made it out the last few weeks, we would encourage you to join us next week if you are able to discuss together important questions about prayer.
Your Generosity
We are celebrating the provision of God and the generosity of His people through time, giftings and finances. You may have seen in the bulletin that the giving in February was just shy of $2000 more than February last year, building on what was a strong January. We are also thankful for the generosity of each of you as you give much time to the work of the church in various ways. I think of the volunteers who give hours each week for the Glow afterschool program.
Thank you to everyone who has been giving generously to the work of God through our church. Your generosity allows us to lean into what God is doing here in Berwick.

One Prayer This Week
Pray for God’s continued leading with the proposed constitution and leadership structure changes. Ask for God’s wisdom as we discern together.
Talk soon,

P.S. The week of prayer is going to be a really important week in the life of our church. We are really looking with anticipation to what God may do. We would encourage you to plan to be involved now! More details to come about the specifics of what this will look like.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
