Berwick Baptist Weekly | Feb 2-8
Here are some of the things happening in our community this week.
Welcome! I (Caleb) am really excited to begin this new rhythm of ‘Berwick Baptist Weekly.’ The hope is simple: to provide a consistent stream of communication so that we can draw together as a community.
Each week I will send one of these out and include three key sections:
What’s Coming Up
What We Are Celebrating
One Thing To Pray For

What’s Coming Up
In this section, I will highlight a few things coming up in our community that we would love for you to be a part of!
Light the Nights: Family Glow Fest
We are so excited to celebrate Light the Nights by hosting Family Glow Fest. This fun, free, family event is all about spreading joy into our community.
It is happening on Saturday, February 15th from 9-12 in the morning at the Berwick Town Hall gym.
Families are invited to join us for a fun morning of bouncy castles, snacks, coffee for the parents and time to connect in community.
We are also looking for volunteers to help run the event! Here are some ideas of the things you might be able to help with.

Berwick Food Pantry
We are into our second week of stocking the Berwick Food Pantry. This is a join initiative between the four churches in Berwick that aims to provide access to food through a ‘food pantry’ located in front of Town Hall.
We believe this is an amazing opportunity to join Jesus in mission as we meet a practical need in the community.
We stock the pantry with donations from within our church community. If you are able, I would encourage you to drop off a donation to the food pantry to the church this week.
Wondering what kinds of things are needed? Here is a list of suggestions:
peanut butter
Pop-top canned goods
cereal & granola bars
crackers
fruit cups/apple sauce cups

What We Are Celebrating
In this section of the weekly newsletter, I will share a few things we are celebrating each week. The hope is to highlight where God is active in our community so we can be thankful together.
Welcome new members!
It was a true joy to welcome 14 people into membership on Sunday! We are thrilled to partner with each of you in being the church here in Berwick.
Congratulations to Brett Leyendekker, Maria Leyendekker, Patti Burfitt, Sandra Turnbull, Colin Geldart, Barb Pineo, Kirby Smart, Sophie Harris, Lynnell Geldart, Dotty Haayer, Caleb Archibald (that’s me!), Leslie Archibald, Evan Colford, Kayla Colford.
Be sure to give them a warm welcome as you see them around!
Annual General Meeting
On Saturday, January 25th, we came together as a church family for the Annual Meeting. This is an important rhythm in the life of our community as we gather to look back and celebrate what God has done in the past year and look ahead and make plans for and discern what He may want to do in the year ahead.
Thanks to each person who was there! It was so good to sit around the table and share food together as a picture of the family that we are.

One Thing To Pray For
In this section, you will find one thing to be praying for this week around the life of our church. This is never the only prayer, but it is something of prominence this week.
Pray this week for those folks who were welcomed into membership this week. Scroll back up and pray for them by name.
Talk soon,
Pastor Caleb

P.S. Remember the Light the Nights event coming up on February 15th? (If not, go read the top of this email!)
