Berwick Baptist Weekly | Aug 31-Sep 6

Here are some of the things happening in our community this week.

What’s Coming Up

This week, we have just one thing for you to know about what’s coming up. Something big is coming this Sunday 👀

Fall Kickoff with BBQ this Sunday

This Sunday is a special one at Berwick Baptist as it marks the start of a brand new season together.

In our worship gathering, we will share the vision for this fall and discuss where we believe God is leading us as a church family. Afterwards, we’ll head outside to celebrate with a BBQ, bouncy castle, and lawn games. So plan to stay for lunch! One logistical note: bring your own lawn chair to sit out on the grass for the BBQ if you would like.

It’s going to be a day of worship, encouragement, and connection, and we’d love for you to be there.

What We Are Celebrating

Baptism!

This past week, we had the privilege to baptize Dana in our worship gathering. What a wonderful celebration and another example of Jesus at work in our community. Congrats to Dana!

Back from vacation

As I (Caleb) write this, I am partway through my second day back from vacation. It has been great to have all three pastors back together after a summer of vacations.

As we head into the fall season, we are celebrating everything that has happened over the last year. This past fall, we had initial discussions about what God was doing here and explored whether Evan and I should join the team. It is incredible to see what God has done through baptisms, people coming to faith in Jesus, the growth of our church community, progress on the renovation, deepening relationships with Jesus, prayer initiatives, and more.

We hope you are celebrating seeing God at work among us!

One Prayer This Week

Pray for children and families as they start a new school year. Many students will return to school tomorrow in public school, and others are gearing up for private or homeschool.

Talk soon,

Caleb

P.S. Make sure you plan to join us Sunday for Fall Kickoff.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
