Berwick Baptist Weekly | April 19–25

Here are some of the things happening in our community this week.

What’s Coming Up

Important Update from Andrew and the Elders

This past Sunday, the Elders shared an important update regarding the life of our congregation. The Elders shared that Pastor Andrew will be taking several months of leave for rest and rejuvenation. This time of leave will begin at the end of April. Following the Elder’s update, we also heard from Andrew. For those who were not present on Sunday, we have included links to both statements below. During these next few months, please pray for Andrew and his family—that these days would be times of refreshing!

Church Custodian – Now Accepting Applications

For several months now, we have been without a church custodian. We want to say a big thank you to those individuals who have done so much to keep our building clean during this time. Today, we are pleased to share with you that we are now accepting applications for the position of Church Custodian. We will be accepting applications until 15 May, with the expected start date of 1 June. The job posting can be found at the link below. Please pass this job posting along to anyone that you think would be interested in applying.

Rachel MacLean Concert – 26 April @3pm

One last reminder: there will be a Rachel MacLean concert in our church sanctuary this coming Sunday afternoon at 3pm. She will be joined by Chris Palmer and our own Andrew Conrad. Ticket are $15 and they will be available at the door.

What We Are Celebrating

XY Men’s Conference

It is a powerful experience to be in a room with 1500 other guys praising Jesus! This week, we are celebrating the fact that we had 11 guys from our church who had this experience at the XY Men’s Conference in Moncton this past weekend. If you missed the chance to attend, fear not! We are already talking about next year. Check out the video at the link below if you what a taste of what the conference was link. Please remember these guys in your prayers. Pray that we would all live out the truths that we learned and experience at the conference, and that these truths would impact us, our families, and our church!

One Prayer This Week

Pray for Andrew and his family. Pray as well for the whole church as we navigate this temporary time of transition.

Talk soon,

Evan

Berwick Baptist Church

P. S. Pastor Evan will be in New Brunswick this coming week on some vacation (24th to 30th). This means that there will be no Sunday morning Bible Study this Sunday (26 April).

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
