Berwick Baptist Weekly | Apr 6-12
Here are some of the things happening in our community this week.

Hey folks! Welcome to another edition of Berwick Baptist Weekly. Right off the bat, I wanted to jump in here and remind you that we are into the ‘Week of Prayer.’ This is a week that we have intentionally set aside to pray as a church.
I hope you will find time to pray using the daily prayer guide today and each day this week. Also, a reminder that we will gather tonight at 8 pm on Zoom for a prayer time together. I will include the link to the prayer guide in case you missed it as well as the Zoom link for prayer.
What’s Coming Up
Holy Week- Easter Celebrations
Holy Week celebrations kick off this Sunday with Palm Sunday and continue through next week. We are excited to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection on the other end of the journey through Holy Week. Here are all the things happening in our community next week.
Maundy Thursday Service: 6 pm at Berwick Baptist in the Annex. We will celebrate together and remember the last supper. We will eat supper together and then have a short service and take communion.
Good Friday Service: 6 pm at Berwick Baptist in the Sanctuary. We will gather together in a time of worship to remember Jesus death on the cross.
Sunrise Service: 7:30 am at Burlington Baptist. We will gather for a sunrise breakfast celebration with a brief service, a few songs and a shared breakfast.
Resurrection Sunday Service: 10:45 am at Berwick Baptist in the sanctuary. We will gather for worship at our regular time to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus together. Invite a friend or neighbour to join you!
Meal Train- Jotcham Family
As we shared on Sunday with heavy hearts, Andrew Jotcham, son of Rosemary and Jim Jotcham, passed away suddenly and tragically on Saturday. Please continue to pray for the family as they grieve.
We are organizing a meal train for Julie, Keagan, and Flynn (Andrew’s wife and boys) to support them during this difficult time. Meals for Rosemary and Jim are taken care of.
Church Family Meeting- Efficiency NS Response
This Saturday, April 12, at 3:30 p.m., we will gather for a church family meeting to discuss Efficiency Nova Scotia's response regarding our heating projection.
We hope you can attend this meeting to discuss this major decision in our congregation's life.

What We Are Celebrating
Week of Prayer Underway
Today marks Day 1 of the week of prayer! Today you can find a prayer guide that will lead you in a time of prayer today and each day this week. We were excited to see so many of the guides go home with you all yesterday.
It is our hope that this week spurs us on to the practice of prayer and leads us in the direction of being a praying church.
Caring for One-Another: Meal Train
Not long ago, we launched a new ministry to care for one another called the Meal Train. For those who are on this list you will have noticed that it has been very active so far. This shows that it has come at a time when those in our church family have needed some support.
Just this past week we had a Meal Train for Karyn and Jordan Gillingham and they wanted to pass on their gratitude for the meals they received as they have been both delicious and helpful.
What a great example of carrying one another’s burdens.

One Prayer This Week
This week instead of one prayer item we encourage you to take part in the Week of Prayer!
Talk soon,
