Here are some of the things happening in our community this week.

What’s Coming Up
New Sermon Series: Take Joy
This coming Sunday, we are launching into a new sermon series called ‘Take Joy.’ In this series, we will journey through the book of Philippians, where the Apostle Paul writes to the church in Philippi, encouraging them to rejoice in the Lord always.
This series will encourage you to always take joy, even in a world full of uncertainty, frustration, and hurry.
Consider reading through the book of Philippians in preparation for this series, its a short book you can read through in one sitting.
Plant & Bake Sale- Sat May 3rd, 8-11 am
The WMS Auxiliary is having their annual Plant and Bake Sale this coming Saturday, May 3rd, from 8-11 am in the church's Annex. Browse a beautiful selection of plants and pick up some delicious homemade baked goods. All proceeds will go toward supporting the work of the WMS. We hope to see you there!
Church Family Meeting- This Sunday
Please join us for a Church Family Meeting on Sunday, May 4th, at 3:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. We’ll review and discuss the heating renovation proposal presented by the Renovation Committee. We invite you to continue praying for God’s guidance as we approach this important decision. As a church body, we trust that God will lead us in wisdom and unity as we discern the best path forward.

What We Are Celebrating
Variety Show
We had a fantastic afternoon yesterday at the Variety Show. A huge thank you to everyone who participated, from musicians and singers to comedians and to all those who came out to support and enjoy the afternoon of talent! It was an afternoon full of laughter, encouragement, and community spirit. Special thanks to the organizers and volunteers who helped make the event run so smoothly!

Vision Paragraphs
Over the last week, we have begun reviewing the vision paragraphs submitted after the Week of Prayer. It has been so encouraging to see the common threads through each submission as confirmation that God does speak to His people. Thank you to each person who set time aside to pray and has sent in their paragraph!

One Prayer This Week
Pray for sanctification, unity, mission, and God's glory. In line with Sunday's sermon, we encourage you to pray through the themes of John 17 listed here. Pray these both personally and for our church community.
Talk soon,
Caleb
Berwick Baptist Church
P.S. We really want you to…
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
