Berwick Baptist Weekly | Apr 13-19
Here are some of the things happening in our community this week.

Week of Prayer Wrap-Up
We want to say a huge thank you to each person who has taken time this week to engage in the week of prayer!
We hope this was a meaningful week for you as we set aside time to pray intentionally together.
Here are a few things to note as we reach the end of the week.
Vision Paragraph Submission
We were asking God to speak to us about his vision for the future of Berwick Baptist Church this week. The practical way we want to capture this is in a ‘Vision Paragraph’ that hopefully you have crafted throughout the week as you worked through the prayer guide.
Please send these to us! The pastors will carefully review and prayerfully consider them. Use the link below to find a form to submit the paragraph. Or drop them off to us as hard copies if you would prefer!
Stories of God at Work
One of our hopes and prayers for this week was that God would work in our lives and church to bring answers to prayers and draw us closer to him.
If this was the case for you, we would love to hear about how God was at work in your life this week. Reply to this email with any stories you would like to share about how God was at work during the Week of Prayer.

What’s Coming Up
Holy Week
We are entering Holy Week, the week in the church calendar when we celebrate and remember the final days of Jesus’ life until his resurrection. These days mark the central reason for our hope in Jesus.
We have several additional gatherings to mark these days, and we would love to have you join us at each one. Here are the details!
Maundy Thursday Service: April 17, 6 pm at Berwick Baptist in the Annex. We will celebrate together and remember the last supper. We will eat supper together and then have a short service and take communion.
Good Friday Service: April 18, 6 p.m., Berwick Baptist in the Sanctuary. We will gather for worship to remember Jesus's death on the cross.
Sunrise Service: April 20, 7:30 am at Burlington Baptist. We will gather for a sunrise breakfast celebration with a brief service, a few songs and a shared breakfast.
Resurrection Sunday Service: April 20, 10:45 am at Berwick Baptist in the sanctuary. We will gather for worship at our regular time to celebrate Jesus's resurrection. Invite a friend or neighbour to join you!
Heating Renovation Proposal
This past Saturday, we had a Family Meeting to discuss the proposed heating renovations. Andrew sent out the details via email today for you to review. Please be in prayer over this significant decision in the life of our church!
Variety Show
We are hosting a Variety Show on April 27th at 2 p.m. at the Berwick Legion. This will be a fun afternoon! During intermission, there will also be a bake sale and dessert auction.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. We are looking for people to provide baked goods for this sale. Also, you'll be able to contribute by selling tickets in advance. You can get these from Rhonda Sawler.

What We Are Celebrating
Week of Prayer Participation
We were deeply encouraged by the level of participation in the Week of Prayer last week. It was so encouraging to see so many prayer guides go out at the start of the week, to hear of people engaging in prayer using that guide each day, having several people join the online prayer meetings and then finally having a great turnout last evening at the Night of Prayer and Worship.
It is so good to see us commit to prayer in these ways, and we believe that God honours this!
Growth in Prayer
There is lots to celebrate from the Week of Prayer! So this is the focus of both things we are celebrating this week. We have heard a few stories about how God used the Week of Prayer to grow us closer to him. One person shared how they were stretched to pray in different ways, allowing them to connect with God in new ways. Another mentioned just the benefit of establishing a daily prayer rhythm again, with the Week of Prayer as a kickstart to it. Last night, we had the chance to hear some of the ‘Big Prayers’ that were lifted to God this week, and it was so meaningful to see the things on people’s hearts.

One Prayer This Week
Pray for Holy Week and each service we will hold. Pray specifically for those who may come to church because of an invitation or simply because it is Easter.
Talk soon,

P.S. We really would love to know what you have been hearing from God this past week through the Week of Prayer. Send in your ‘Vision Paragraph’ here.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
